I am available to paint your dog, cat, horse, alpaca, wildlife or other animal. I also do portraits of people. All art work is created with professional quality, archival materials and with proper care will last a lifetime or more. I prefer working with oils painted on hardboard because of the richness in color and durability. They are virtually indestructible with normal care. I can work from your clear photo(s) to create portraits. I am available to photograph your horse or pet upon request with some travel restrictions.

Steps to Commission a Pet Portrait 1. Choose painting size 2. Send a $100.00 plus tax deposit by mail or pay pal. address: Sue Steiner, White Horse Studio c\o Second April Art Galerie 324 Cleveland Ave. NW #207 Canton, Ohio 44702 Pay pal: 3. Send large sized file digital photos to artbysue@hotmail.com or mail photos to the above address. 4. I will call you to discuss specifics. An 'Artistic License'* 10% discount could apply to your painting under these conditions: a. I chooose the pose. b. I choose whether full body or head only. c. I choose the style. In other words you say to me... look at my photos. Use these for inspiration. My pet has this __________ type of personality and I want to convey this__________ about them. I am not looking for a copy of my photo but an artistic interpretation of what I feel about my pet. I have seen your work and enjoy your style and want to give you the freedom to create a work of art of my pet in a way that inspires you. 5. I do commissions in the order in which I receive deposits so I will give you a time estimate for completion. Usually the time frame is 4-6 weeks. Christmas orders are best if in early since that is typically a busy time. 6. When the painting is completed I will send you an image for your final approval. You are also welcome to meet at my studio at anytime in the process. Periodic updates by e-mail or at my studio are possible if you desire. The balance is due upon your final approval. If the painting needs to be shipped the buyer pays for shipping. I pay the insurance. Your satisfaction is my priority. My business has grown by referrals and as a way to thank my past clients I offer discounts for repeat business. I love when people include personality traits and special memories of their pets. Feel free to include any of this kind of information. I think about what I've been told about the animal as I paint and I believe that shines thru in the final image.
